UJPO/Jews for Social Justice (Winnipeg Chapter) held its first in-person memorial since 2019 to honour the resistance fighters of the Warsaw Ghetto on May 7, 2024, at the Ukrainian Labour Temple. Saul Henteleff acted as the Master of Ceremonies, inviting six individuals to light candles in memory of the six million Jews who were murdered by the Nazis . He also introduced songs of resistance and hope sung by the North End Jewish Folk Choir. The featured speaker for the evening was investigative journalist and author, Cecil Rosner, who spoke on the topic: Looking at Resistance Through the Lens of Family History.
